Tour 1: Selected Domaines of the Southern Rhone (3 nights)

Our three night tour is aimed at the wine lover who wants the 'edited highlights' of this fascinating wine region. 'Selected Domaines' comprises a combination of morning briefings and tutored tastings with Philip in the Atelier at La Madelène followed by visits and tastings to six prestigious estates representing the very best of the Southern Rhone.

At our Atelier briefings you will get up to speed via a tutored tasting on all 7 of the Southern Rhone crus including superb examples of Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas etc. Our six Domaine visits will embrace premium wines from Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas, Beaumes de Venise, and Cairanne. We will visit famous names such as Solitude, La Nerthe, Vatican, Pegau, St.Cosme as well as smaller artisanale producers. Naturally you will have ample opportunity to enjoy the wines as an accompaniment to fabulous food at our selected restaurants and at our table. Depending on your stamina you will have in this short space of time experienced tasting around 40 of the best wines available in this region from over 20 hand picked properties.

Tour 2: Rhone Stars Short Tour (1 day / 1 night)

For our guests who are perhaps already in the region we offer a short tour package which comprises a one night stay and dinner at La Madelène, followed by a day tour visiting three Domaines and a gourmet Provencal lunch including wine. The price includes all these elements.

There are no set dates for these short tours - please give us a call or e-mail us to arrange dates. Your transport for the day is a 9 seater air-conditioned Mercedes Vito. We can take up to 8 people on these tours but if you want a private trip for your party contact us and we will arrange it.

Tour 3: Bespoke Day Tour (1 day)

For those already staying in our region La Madelène Rhone Wine Holidays can provide a bespoke, private, one day tour service, subject to availability. We will pick you up (we can take up to 8 ) in our Mercedes Vito at around 9:30 am and chauffeur you on a wine tasting circuit to some of the Southern Rhone's finest estates - we will visit and taste at three important Domaines during the day.

The price includes a typical Provencal bistro lunch including wine. The tours conclude at approximately 5:30 pm. Payment by cash in euros on the day.There are no set dates for these day tours - please give us a call or e-mail us to arrange dates.
