Bespoke Day Tours (1 day)

For those already staying in our region

La Madelène

Rhone Wine Holidays can provide a bespoke, private, one day tour service, subject to availability. We will pick you up (we can take up to 8 ) in our Mercedes Vito at around 9:30 am and chauffeur you on a wine tasting circuit to some of the Southern Rhone's finest estates - we will visit and taste at three important Domaines during the day.

The price includes a typical Provencal bistro lunch including wine. The tours conclude at approximately 5:30 pm. Payment by cash in euros on the day.There are no set dates for these day tours - please give us a call or e-mail us to arrange dates.

There are two set routes to choose from, however if you want to explore appellations not included here please discuss your preferences with us.

Route A:

The famous and very first AOC -

Chateauneuf du Pape.

We take in the fine estates of

Nalys, La Nerthe

and

Domaine de la Solitude

- all very different in size, style and character but all fascinating. We will also visit and walk around the village itself - plenty of opportunity to make purchases from a wide range of estates from this appellation. Lunch will be at well known bistro Le Pistou in the centre of the village.

Route B:

Wines around the stunning limestone escarpment of The

Dentelles de Montmirail

, including the AOC's of Gigondas, Seguret and Beaumes de Venise. We take in the spectacularly located

Domaine Mourchon at Seguret

, the highly respected maverick producer

Louis Barruol at Chateau de Saint Cosme

just outside Gigondas and

Chateau Redortier

( Beaumes de Venise and Gigondas) near Suzette, high up in the Dentelles themselves. Fabulous scenery and equally fabulous wines. Lunch is at the buzzy

Festival café

in the centre of Vaison la Romaine.
