Rhone Stars Short Tour (1 day / 1 night)
For our guests who are perhaps already in the region we offer a short tour package which comprises a one night stay and dinner at
La Madelène
, followed by a day tour visiting three Domaines and a gourmet Provencal lunch including wine. The price includes all these elements.There are no set dates for these short tours - please give us a call or e-mail us to arrange dates. Your transport for the day is a 9 seater air-conditioned Mercedes Vito. We can take up to 8 people on these tours but if you want a private trip for your party contact us to see if we can accomodate your preferred dates.

The short tour comprises one night's accommodation at
The following day after breakfast we set out to visit a minimum of three great Domaines, usually we start with an estate at either Cotes du Rhone Villages level or Gigondas ( for example: Domaine Mourchon at Seguret, Chateau St.Cosme or Goubert at Gigondas)., we then drive across to the village of Chateauneuf du Pape where we will visit and taste at at least two of the best producers in the appellation. These are private appoitments so the selections depend on vigneron availability , our current line up includes : Pegau, Janesse, Nalys, Mont Thabor, Solitude, Bois de Boursan, Beaurenarde, La Nerthe, Beaucastel, Grand Tinel, Vatican, Mordoreé.
Lunch on this day is at Chateauneuf`s best restaurant Verger des Papes, situated just below the ruin of the Pope`s summer palace, in good weather we will dine on their magnificent terrace with a panoramic view of the vineyards and the Rhone river.
The tour ends at around 5.30pm

, a four course Provencal meal chez nous, al fresco on the south terrace if the weather permits or in the old chapel dining room.
