Our guests from the USA generally arrive by plane to Paris CDG where they transfer to TGV train at the airport ( very easy transfer). The TGV fast train to Avignon takes around 3 hours. The train stops at "Avignon TGV", not to be cofused with the other Avignon train station "Avignon centre". There are flights from the US direct to airports that are nearer to us eg Lyons or Marseille ( 90 mins/2 hours road time from La Madelene) but there will be considerably less choice of flights to these destinations and fares are likely to be more expensive.
